The stately 65 foot tower sits 100 feet above sea level and overlooks the mighty Pacific Ocean and the protected 40 mile Oregon Dunes National Recration Area

Umpqua River Lighthouse is 2 miles south of Winchester Bay, and adjacent to Umpqua Lighthouse State Park.

From Coast Hwy 101, turn at Salmon Harbor Drive to
Lighthouse Road.     Or at the top of Winchester Bay hill on Hwy 101, turn off at milepost 217, which leads to Lighthouse Road. 

Umpqua River Lighthouse & Museum

is open May 1 to October 30.
Lighthouse Tours are offered from 10am-4pm daily for $3 for adults, $2 for children.  Some nightime tours are offered as well for a truly spectacular experience!

Take a tour of the Lighthouse Museum for a step back in time to see what a Keeper's life was like!  The lovingly restored former Coast Guard barracks offers lighthouse and lifesaving history, memorabilia, artifacts and is decorated with period furniture. 

Interpretive displays, fine art & prints, and information on lighthouse lore & shipwrecks on the Umpqua River Bar all add to the tour experience. 

Our fine Museum Store has an array of souvenirs, educational books and children's toys, lighthouse collectables, clothing, posters & prints and much more.
